Interesting Podcast

Although sometimes the dialogue seems a little rehearsed or forced, the topics are really interesting, and there's lots of great stuff to listen to. As a non-American, it can seem a little biased towards more American history at times, but they usually explain the background enough to make that interesting too. And there is some effort to make it international and cover other countries too. I really like it, and hope it continues. :-) It's just short little pockets of history/humanities that otherwise I wouldn't know ...

Not for history buffs but more the bi-curious historian

This podcast covers a diverse range of history topics with a light touch. This isn't for people who are big on history, but rather for those who enjoyed reading the 4 paragraph summaries of historical events in Encarta as a child. Since both of the two main hosts, Jane and Candace, left the podcast has taken a battering. Katie and Sarah are not as infectiously enthusiastic as the former hosts and Sarah seems to be scared of talking, which isn't great for a podcast host. Overall it's good but not what it used to be.

Enjoyable

Nice overviews on historical topics. Not uber deep, but interesting overviews that give you info on a topics that you may not have known anything about. Obviously for more in depth analysis you need do your own further research but I like that I can usually get thru an full episode or more to and from work. If you want something interesting to listen to to pass the time thus is worth a listen.
