The FADER #79 Podcast | Philip Glass is an icon of the avant-garde, which more or less means the star of FADER #79 is a weirdo of mythic proportions. In that spirit, and in his honor, we’ve crafted one of our most delightfully strangest podcasts yet. Just five songs, clocking in at under 20 minutes, the mix covers Kindness’ “lo-fi with hi-fi values” disco, Bola’s Ghanaian stomp, a delicate song from Julia Holter and a huge one from Glass’ recently completed Symphony No. 9, before heading clubwards with Slava and the Russian artist Vtgnike, from Nicolas Jaar’s compilation inside a cube. Interspersed samples include inspirational words from Ron Morelli of L.I.E.S., the morning routine of Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, Miami rapper Gunplay’s best coke-rat impression and FADER’s own Alex Frank and Mobolaji Dawodu imagining Philip Glass’ apartment. Download the tracks as a mix below, or buy songs individually on the MyMusicRX app. A percentage of each iTunes purchase made through MyMusicRX benefits the Children’s Cancer Association. Tracklist: Kindness, “House” Bola, “Tigantabame” Julia Holter, “In The Same Room” Philip Glass, “Symphony No. 9: Movement I” Slava, “I’ve Got Feelings Too” Vtgnike, “Untitled Juke” | 8 5 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

The FADER #78 Podcast | Double rap covers make for our secret favorite mixes. The FADER #78 podcast is warmly hip-hopped out, featuring a totally bonkers, previously unreleased Danny Brown track and a healthy dose of songs by LA’s Black Hippy crew laced throughout. When other genres blend in, things get beautifully weird: Young Sam mashed into Maria Minerva, Schoolboy Q rapping over an ecstatic Unicorn Kid instrumental. Not to mention Ceremony’s hardcore, Action Bronson’s peculiar Queens anthem, an intro by recent office visitor 2 Chainz and great songs by Lower Dens and The Congos. Download the tracks as a mix below, or buy songs individually on the MyMusicRX app. A percentage of each iTunes purchase made through MyMusicRX benefits the Children’s Cancer Association. Download: The FADER #78 Podcast Tracklist: Action Bronson, “Muslim Wedding” Danny Brown, “Blunt After Blunt” Kendrick Lamar, “ADHD” Lower Dens, “Brains” Ab-Soul, “Black Lip Bastard” The Congos, “Happy Song” Danny Brown, “Bassline” Ceremony, “Hysteria” Jay Rock, “Hood” Young Sam, “Toe Up” Maria Minerva, “A Love So Strong” Schoolboy Q, “Hands on the Wheel” Unicorn Kid, “Dolphin Dance” | 28 2 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

The FADER #77 Podcast | Over nearly 45 minutes—that’s like 50% more jams than usual!—we explore the depths of this year’s NOW issue with a lovingly mixed audio accompaniment. The podcast showcases our favorite tracks from cover stars Future and Cass McCombs, as well as a dense helping of songs from artist-run American electronic labels 100% Silk, Future Times, Fade to Mind and Software. Also featuring Don Trip, Stacy Barthe, Wale, Lunice, Oneohtrix Point Never—the list goes on—the mix incorporates clips from FADER TV’s with two of the most endearing rappers we’ve ever eaten leftovers and/or looked at erotic collages with, Action Bronson and Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire. Download the tracks as a mix below, or buy songs individually via our playlist on the MyMusicRX app. A percentage of each iTunes purchase made through MyMusicRX benefits the Children’s Cancer Association. The FADER Issue #75 Podcast | Summer’s ending, and that’s fine. Out with the sweat-stained t-shirts and the farmer tans, in with the autumn winds and the year’s greatest opportunity for clothing-based self-revitalization: shopping for fall fashions. Here’s a fun accessory to spice up any September wardrobe, even if it’s just your dad’s college sweatshirt that you’re wrapped in desperately during an ill-fated trip to the now-frigid local beach: a copy of The FADER Fall Fashion Issue! And for those moments when print magazines and iPad editions don’t quite “go with your shirt,” we’ve prepared a clashing-proof mix featuring FADER #75 cover stars Frank Ocean and The Rapture, new tracks from Austin’s elite Pure X and Silent Diane, plus a hardy helping from the issue’s supporting cast: Balam Acab, Alex Clare, Nguzunguzu, Main Attrakionz, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and 2:54. The FADER Issue #74 Podcast | In Brooklyn, the West Indian Day Parade goes straight down Eastern Parkway. It’s as much a summertime celebration as it is a competition to see who has the biggest truck with the loudest speakers. Most of what gets played is, of course, West Indian music, but the city’s summer bombast shouldn’t be exclusive to soca, calypso and reggae. Sometimes you just want to hear an acoustic guitar played fulled blast out of an 18-wheeler. We’ve rounded up our favorite jams from our Summer Music Issue and prepared a proper soundtrack for your big truck or beachside iPod speakers. Six years into his career, Soulja Boy is still welcome at our barbecue, and so are FADER #74 stars Vybz Kartel, Woods, DJ Harvey, Jhene Aiko, Clams Casino, Pure X, Grimes, Little Dragon, Fat Trel and Shabazz Palaces. It’s hot out out there, and it should be. Download: The FADER Issue #74 Podcast Sign up for our podcasts on iTunes Subscribe via your favorite RSS reader Soulja Boy f. The FADER Issue #73 Podcast | This was a BIG issue for us. But it featured plenty of artists beyond Brooklyn’s finest—rising stars like Waka Flocka’s Brick Squad Monopoly, Danny Brown, Fred the Godson and Angel Haze that reflect facets of Biggie’s greatness. This podcast stews together FADER #73′s bunch of not-yet-icons, blending Atlanta adrenaline rap with Katy B’s British dance-pop and freestyles over Beyoncé beats into black metal. Special thanks to SL Jones for gracing us with an exclusive drop, and to the FADER TV team, whose interviews with Diddy, Rick Ross and Roach Gigz pop up throughout the mix. It’s a pre-summer triumph of jams, and we made it just for you.
