Based on the real-life Critical Incident Response Team, a branch of the Victorian Police Force, the members of Tactical Response aren’t your average police officers. They’re highly trained, equipped with specialist skills and weaponry which support their fundamental aim of non-lethal policing. Their ability to think laterally in the heat of a crisis is also crucial. Backed by comprehensive intelligence and cutting-edge technology, TR is better placed than anyone to stay one step ahead of the criminals and intercept them before any harm is done. | 1 | VideoEpisode 1 | It's six months since the fatal bus shooting. The coroner's findings are damning of Tactical Response. Stella has left the team and Lawson is struggling through a personal crisis of confidence. With the unit's future in doubt, Lawson and the team are pushed to the limit as they answer a series of seemingly unrelated incidents around the city. The police helicopter is sabotaged and the central business district is thrown into panic by a number of car bombings that exhibit all the hallmarks of a terrorist attack. With nearly all police resources focussed on the bombings, another crime is playing out unnoticed in the suburbs. Or nearly unnoticed. Stella, now working in the uniform branch since leaving Tactical Response, encounters an overturned car on the side of the road. Upon investigation, it becomes clear this was no accident - someone had placed spikes down on the road. Stella and her offsider learn that the road leads to a major cash holding facility. Its gates are locked and the staff are unable to be raised by either phone or intercom. It is very suspicious. Tactical Response, busy with the bombings, finally locate and corner the bomber in his car. Threatening to blow himself up, tense negotiations begin. As a profile starts to be developed on the bomber, it becomes clear he is not ideologically motivated. Indeed, he's a low-level criminal with no obvious reason for committing this type of crime. Kerry cleverly makes a connection between he and the offender arrested for sabotaging the police helicopter. Both are criminal associates. Again the question is raised - what would be their motivation? Then when Stella calls Leon for information on the cash holding facility, Kerry puts it together. The bombings and sabotage of the helicopter are in reality a brilliant smokescreen to distract police resources while potentially one of the biggest robberies in the country's history goes down. As Tactical Response scramble to neutralise the bomber and thwart the heist, the team find themselves up against a highly sophisticated and dangerous armed robbery crew that might just prove themselves more than a match for our team. | 44:10 | $2.99 | View In iTunes |
| 2 | VideoEpisode 2 | TR 1 attend a vehicle accident and discover that the driver has been shot. As they cordon off and search the site, Lawson comes to suspect the shooting is random. Shannon finds a shell casing. Then a shot rings out - an ambulance has been hit. Lawson rushes to save the injured as more shots ring out. Meanwhile, TR 2 get more than they bargained for when Michael tries to chat up an attractive motorist and learns she holds a special regard for the law. TR 1 head to the gunman's likely vantage point - a multi-level carpark. As TR 2 draws near, a bullet rips through their windscreen, forcing them into cover. Then a van screeches out of the carpark. Lawson and Shannon give chase but are too late. Lawson realises that the shootings may not be as random as first thought. TR 2 crosses paths with Stella and her partner, Lynette. Soon after, another shot is heard, and another vehicle - this time a stationwagon - is hit. With children stranded in the car, Lynette breaks cover and is shot, forcing Stella to rescue her. With the family trapped and under increasing threat, Lawson uses himself as bait, drawing the gunman's fire, which allows Josh and Christian to reach the stationwagon to begin the rescue. They discover the father badly wounded and the two children traumatised. Lawson attempts to draw fire once again but this time the gunman doesn't take the bait. With the clock ticking, Lawson coordinates an assault on the building where the shooter waits as Josh and Christian haul the family to safety. Clearing the building, Dom comes under fire, causing a momentary panic attack. As Michael manages to corner the shooter, his gun jams. Shannon arrives but she resists firing at the shooter, who is finally apprehended. Michael starts to doubt that Shannon has the grit to do the job. As the shooter is lead away, Kerry and Leon realise that he couldn't have been acting alone as another ambulance officer is shot. Lawson sends Shannon and Michael to station themselves atop an adjacent building, Michael peeved that Lawson chose Shannon and not him to be the sniper. Leon identifies the first shooter - he's an ex-Ambulance officer. After a tense search, Michael locates the second shooter. As Shannon lines up a shot, they realise it's a woman. There's an office worker trapped on the same floor with her. As Josh commences negotiations, Lawson informs him that the shooters are husband and wife. Shannon waits - still, poised. Suddenly the trapped worker makes a run for it and is spotted by the shooter. As she lines up a shot, Shannon fires and brings the shooter down with lethal accuracy. The mood is somber as the team wrap up for the day. Stella approaches Lawson, telling him she wants back into TR, but he leaves without offering his answer. And Lawson and Shannon are left alone to console each other. | 43:57 | $2.99 | View In iTunes |

Dom sympathizes with Paul and tells Lawson to ease up on him. Back at base, Leon is startled and suspicious when beautiful young Intelligence Officer Audrey shows up. She is there to watch and learn. At the gallery, TR set up bugs in preparation for the first meeting. They are shocked when Kronin himself shows up; Michael clearly still harbours a grudge. Lawson resists arresting Kronin, wanting to wait until he has the money on him. As the meeting ends, TR discover Paul is being followed by one of Kronin's men and after an elaborate chase, shake the tracker. Paul reveals the location of the money handover as Southbank, much to Lawson's annoyance. As TR return to base, Stella's return is celebrated by everyone but Michael, who is awkward. Dom confronts Lawson over his treatment of Paul and when Lawson reprimands him in front of TR, Dom explodes, shooting up TR 1 before fleeing. As the team are left reeling, Lawson sends TR 2 after Dom. After finding the handover money, Lawson backtracks the associate's movements, which leads him, Shannon and Stella to a nursery. It looks like a wild goose chase, until Lawson uncovers a substantial sum of the heist money. He exults, the tragedy of Dom now seemingly forgotten. TR 2 locate Dom. Josh comforts him. Kerry is furious and wants him brought to base for punishment. But Josh instead takes him to a psychiatric hospital; a telling gesture of support to an old colleague and friend. Christian wonders how he emerged unscathed. It is now clear that Janet was the target, not Pell. Kerry suspects that Pell and Janet were having an affair, which might explain the attempt on Janet's life, while revealing to Lawson that she herself had a short fling with Pell. Kerry's suspicions are piqued when it transpires that Janet had recently been the target of other attacks. Although Kerry confronts Pell with her suspicions, his political standing proves too great and Kerry is forced to release him.
