Muzikaal heeft deze plaat inderdaad niks met Cash te maken, maar dat wordt ook nergens gepretendeerd. Als ik me goed herinner zegt Bobbejaan zelf in interviews dat hij geen Cash is of wil zijn. Lijkt me ook niet nodig voor een artiest met een heel eigen identiteit. Toch is er contextuele gelijkenis: ook Cash werd in de jaren '80 bespot, niet in het minst door "left of center" cultuursnobs als Wulfy, die nu met Cash dwepen. Het is potsierlijk als zulke mensen dan (onder het mom van objectiviteit) plots een belachelijk puberale tegenreactie gaan vertonen. Hoe veel authentieker kun je nog gaan als Verankerd. 'Laat je niet leiden door Daan', dat geldt in gelijk welke richting.

Beter als het pretpark. De Cash van de lage landen. Sierlijk, mooi en broos
