Blank Code Podcast 023 – Felix Lorusso
|
Felix Lorusso, born on the 14th of October 1985, became aware of his passion for electronic music besides the dance floor in the year 2007. Starting to mix his favoured music, he quickly developed a significant style in his DJ sets by using a four channel digital setup. Soon after his first appearances in Hamburg Felix started to produce his own music.
Within a short time he found his own expression of minimal music. With atmospheric tracks, stunning bass lines and haunting noises sometimes outlined by deep vocals he interprets electronic dance music dark and emotionally. In the next three years he and some of his friends started to organize underground techno parties with international guests. The idea to establish their own minimal-techno came to mind. Felix and his partner Tanja Rückwardt (Ira & I) succeeded in their plan and started the label "Cirque du Minimaliste".

Blank Code Podcast 021 – Charlton
|
Charlton (1982) begins in 1999. This is the year that the techno scene faced this Dutch DJ from Rotterdam for the first time. Started as a DJ, Charlton was attractive to techno music of that time. While his gigs started to count up, Charlton starts to produce his own tracks in 2001. Charlton's inventive style of producing tracks and with the techno sounds from “the old days” combined with his own dark off-beat rhythms, filled with nasty razor-sharp and hypnotizing acid basslines, had a great impact on Dutch techno scene.
As a result of his discernible music style, also his first releases took place on the Audio Assault/Arms label of Bas Mooy and Jeroen Liebregts. Together with his “partner in crime” Bas Mooy he started to produce some more tracks and solo tracks for other labels such as Pohjola, Aftertaste, or Labrynth to name a few of the list. In 2006 the collaboration between Bas Mooy and Charlton led to ‘Diabla Diezco’ alias. This project delivers you the “dark and evil techno straight from the streets of Rotterdam”.
The amount of international bookings is increasing in 2007, with gigs in Poland and Czech Republic for example. The same year that Charlton was asked to play at the legendary ‘Awakenings Festival’ party and the same year he became one of the founders of ‘Return records’. Through this label he supports the development of the current techno scene, by creating a high quality music platform for upcoming and current international producers.

Blank Code Podcast 003 – Tony Kasper
|
Since his first experiences of immersion in the electronic music world, Tony Kasper has managed to keep his finger directly on the pulse of the techno community. He developed his mature passion for music when he was exposed to classic blues, jazz, and rock and roll. From the first moment an audience listens, it is clear to them that Tony's dj sets epitomizes professionalism behind the decks.
Tony's inimitable mixing style is known to be highly adaptable to the ambiance of the events he plays. His technique includes, but not limited to, utilizing three turntables and multiple audio sources to create his unique techno blend. A Tony Kasper dj set, mixing dark and aggressive techno or funky floor-burning techno, will often parallel the driving yet chunky sounds of the well-known Detroit, Swedish, German and Italian techno artists. Tony's primary goal behind the decks has proven to be fruitful as he utilizes his vast knowledge of tracks and quick mixing ability to control an audience with every measure he plays.
As evolution precedes, Tony is now currently working diligently to release his style of Techno and House for the masses. He has specialized in remixing for several artists from the Chicago and Detroit area and has already released several original tracks and remixes on such labels as Black Nation Records, Klientele Music, Kompute Musik and Smooth Agent Records.
