I blame the radio!
Kids are raving that "Deadmau5 is God", but he isn't adding anything new to techno genre at all. We danced to stuff like this 10 years ago - really, this album took me back a decade to my raver days. Deadmau5 ranges from mediocre to ok (this is his best album) - but definitely not groundbreaking...
I blame the radio - teens are growing up thinking that "techno" means Britney and Kesha, so when they hear something relatively good, they freak out. Don't worry kiddies, in a few years you'll have more perspective.

Born Joel Zimmerman on January 5, 1981, Deadmau5 rose to prominence when his track "Faxing Berlin" found its way onto the playlist of legendary DJ/producer Pete Tong's radio show.
