Album Review
Released in 2007, A Good Enough Day is the self-produced and self-penned second album from Toronto singer/songwriter Royal Wood. The follow-up to Tall Tales features 13 of his Tom Waits-esque, melancholic, piano-based ballads, including the singles "A Mirror Without," "Juliet," and "I'm so Glad," alongside collaborations with fellow Canadian musicians Hawksley Workman and Kurt Swinghammer. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Not Just Good Enough
I first discovered Royal Wood at the Hillside Music Festival two years ago, I've bought every CD of his, and let me say, they just keep getting better. This album is beautiful and poignant, with a balance between stripped down songs with only guitar and vocals like "I'm So Glad," and more intricately arranged songs such as "Siren." Glad to hear you quit your day job, Royal. Keep the music coming.
One for All
This man's music has a universality to it that will appeal to all real music lovers! The song writing, instrumentation, arrangements and genuine musicality are a joy. We saw him in concert last night at the Music Gallery ...what a craftsman...he touched the audience as if it were the grand piano he plays so well.
