Owl City ATBB
Owl City has done it again with his heartwarming melodies and clever lyrics. As always, Adam Young improves with each song and continues to be on my top five artists. His electric genre has a completely unique sound from any other and will never grow old. After "Ocean Eyes," I thought it would be a hard album to top, but he has surpassed it to a level that I will return to over and over again. An awesome summer album that will always bring a change of pace to wonder and leave you breathless. Songs such as "The Real World," "Deer In the Headlights," and "The Yacht Club" are definitely the songs that I have fallen in love with. As Owl City takes flight to an amazing height of soothing vocals as well as beautiful, catchy music, Adam will never leave my music library. Thanks Owl City!!

Lowest Common Denomenator stuff... it appeals to a target market and hits the nail on the head. If you fit a certain stereotype, you'll probably love this music, if you don't, it won't do much for you. Don't think too hard about it or its charm will disappear. But regardless of any of that, has anyone who's buying this album ever considered that some music might be art and not just candy-coated pop tunes to take up space on your ipod? Sure, listen to a couple tunes from this guy, it's better than buying into a brand like Taylor Swift. But at the same time, challenge your musical tastes. You've probably been hearing a lot of the same thing, why not check out 90s underground hip-hop, 80s post-punk, jazz, funk, new-wave, avant-garde, Animal Collective, Pavement, Steely Dan...There's a whole world of music out there. Don't ever confine yourself to something as simple and commercial as Owl City.
