Unique
It's pretty unique
Awesome!
I heard of Avi Buffalo in an indie magazine, and thought, they sound pretty interesting...and then I heard the album. Wow. Simple, unique, sweet tunes. I think it's pretty amazing for a relatively new indie band. And they're not even over 21! That's pretty sweet.
One of the best albums of 2010
Beyond the incredibly talented guitar playing, there is some very creative song writing going on here. And this translates in an album full of beautifully aranged songs that keeps the momentum going from first track to last. The overlayered guitars, and subtle use of organ, sax, and very musical rhythmic section create a sound that blends the old with the modern in a thrilling way.
Their touring and working with many other talent since 2010 should make for an interesting second album soon.
