What Happened?
I can't even recognize this band when I listen to this vs. their album "It's Easier To Be Somebody Else". This EP loses all of the organic feeling that brilliant album had, that vibe that you couldn't help but get into. That album made me dance in my seat no matter where I was. This one... this one sounds like it'll do well on a Top 40 chart. They deserve recognition, for sure, but for their vibe and feel, not for stuff like this. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come... but I'm very afraid that it is.
C'mon!!!
I loved Hey Ocean.... the way they used to be, earthy, rustic, quirky. It was the things that may have stopped them from appealing to the mainstream crowd that I loved, and now all that's gone. I hope the next album will go back to that! Love you guys!
Another Home Run!
As awesome and soulful as their other albums! The one group I can never get tired of! I'm going to be jamming along to this for weeks. Cant wait to see what comes next. Cant wait to see them again live!
