Black Thorn, the fifth offering from upbeat, Chicago-based Celtic punk outfit Flatfoot 56, features 13 tracks that seamlessly blend the relentless pace of classic Oi! punk with the rich, melodic cadences of traditional Irish and Scottish folk. Released to coincide with the band’s tenth anniversary, Black Thorn’s spirited moshpit anthems will appeal to fans of Flogging Molly, Black 47, the Tossers, and the Dropkick Murphys.

Formed in 2000 by siblings Tobin (vocals/guitar), Justin (drums), and Kyle Bawinkel (bass), Chicago-based Celtic punk outfit Flatfoot 56 grew from a straight-up punk trio into a hard-hitting, Flogging Molly/Dropkick Murphys-inspired Oi! rock outfit with the additions of Highland piper Eric McMahon and mandolin/guitar player Brandon Good.
