An All-Star lineup and the Greatest Rapper Alive
Jay-Z is known for his confident demenor and his great production and rapping skills.
This album is perhaps his most 'commerciail' album to date. But it is perhaps his best album since his 'comeback' with Kingdom Come. American Gangster was also an excellent album, but this album just has monster producions and amazing rhymes. Some track's that stand out are "D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)", "Hate", "Off That", "Venus vs. Mars" and "Empire State of Mind". But all in all this album has amazing tracks. If you are looking for an album to transition into the dreaded winter this is the album that will take you to another place.
THIS NEEDS NO INTRODUCTION!!!!
Crazy album! the production quality of the album is amazing. Each song on the album flows perfectly with the one before which gives the album a constant flow. This is the hip hop album of 2009!!! Songs to download definitely are Empire State of Mind, What We Talkin About, and Thank You.
Jesus Christ CAN save!
In Empire State of Mind, Jay-Z states that Jesus Christ cannot save, and life begins when the Church ends (3:05). This has caused me to lose respect for the rapper, regardless of the context in which he might be speaking in. You're not HOVA, sorry.
