iTunes Review

When a band is playing for the same-sized crowd that comes out to see a football game, they really have to bring it, and Three Days Grace’s third album does just that, reassuring fans and newcomers that the alt-metal quartet was born for the big stage. Similarly to 2006’s One-X, 2009's Life Starts Now is heavily inspired by singer Adam Gontier’s inner demons. “Bitter Taste” fires up the album with raw and meaty guitar riffs that hammer down like ‘70s hard rock before the song shape-shifts into a post-grunge rail against the sour remnants left behind by a toxic, back-stabbing, anti-muse. The behemoth sized “Break” follows with similarly themed lyrics that poignantly express what it feels like to be at your wit’s end. But like the album’s title and sleeve art suggest, some positive insight rises from the ashes of all this burning catharsis — especially on the anthemic chorus which punches new life into that age-old “rise above” adage. The melodic “No More” brings the light at the end of the tunnel out into the open with some soaring harmonies, Edge-inspired guitar chimes, and honestly hopeful lyrics.

Coming from a die-hard TDG fan, the anticipation for this album was unbearable! Just like One-X, you can see the raw emotion coming through each song. I find this album to be a bit less heavy than One-X and Three Days Grace. I think that this shows their maturity and progression.
With songs like "Break", "Good Life" and "Goin' Down" to get the rocker's out there pumped up and songs like "Lost In You", and "Last To Know" for the emotion jerking lyrics, I believe this album has something for every kind of rock fan out there.
Three Days Grace never fails to pull through.
Definitely an album you can listen to from start to finish straight through!!

=D best album ever =D

This album is hands down amazing. I heard "Break" on the radio once, and I gont straight onto iTunes and listened to the rest of the album and I knew I had to have it. The song made me smile, and "Last to know" made me cry. "world so small" was amazing and made me smile ear-to-ear. The Lyrics are truthful and deep, the guitar riffs are amazing and the song arangement is to die for. I Recommend this to absaloutly everyone. =D hope you enjoyed it like I did. <3
