Album Review
Courage and Patience and Grit: In Concert is a specially priced two-disc collection of live recordings and concert footage from the popular Canadian Celtic pop supergroup. Featuring fan favorites like "Captain Kidd," "Jack Hinks," "Ordinary Day," and "General Taylor," the 22-track concert disc and accompanying 30-track DVD are a treasure trove of rousing Great Big Sea highlights and music videos that dutifully illuminate one of the Great White North's most enduring and original homegrown acts.

Great songs.
Great songs. Anything live by Great Big Sea is worth the money. They really make the songs come to life on stage. Great job. Also, to Dr. Miller a fellow reviewer. Great Big Sea is from NEWFOUNDLAND and not from Nova Scotia!
Live is Life
This album is a true reflection of the GBS live acoustic concert. If you've never been to their concerts it may be a disappointment, but for someone who has been to a lot of their concerts it is a reminder of what a great live band they are.
Absolutely perfect…
What is there to say... this live compilation really hits home and reminds me of the lifestyle, times and love of the Maritimes. The quality of the recording for a live album is well balanced with a deeper than usual soundstage and instruments come off well placed to leave you with the feeling of sitting in the old doryman right after a Keith’s and the old man with the spoons has just finished. This album is missing a few of my old classic favourites like "The Old Black Rum" and "Boston and St. Johns" and "Old Brown's Daughter" but seriously... you can't have it all. (Well maybe a 2 Disc set?). The compilation is a great assortment of classics which remind me of when I was University student class president and Alan and the boys said... "I know the concert is over but we’re just getting started" and voila... impromptu jam session in our boardroom with a pint in hand. For that party and playing the background many others THANKS GUYS! Remember GBS is not just something you listen too, it is something you experience. My father lives in Antigonish, so being in land-locked Alberta, this album makes me reminisce of what I miss.
