Good Singer With Good Songs

Campbell is a good enough vocalist and could become a household name in the future. His only problem is the Nashville cash cow machine has him recording songs lesser than his talent as a singer. When he gets a good song he turns it into an even better one like "When I Get It" where the song is well written and Craig takes the song up a notch with his delivery. This is the sign of a country singer being authentic and having the kind of charisma needed to have a career not be a flash in the pan which happens all the time in this genre where a couple of big hits happen and then the artist just disappears to Branson and is never seen again outside country fairs again.

The album has some songs like "Makes You Wanna Sing" that remind me of Billy Currington or Craig Morgan both who have the same ability to really deliver the goods. "That Going Away Look (About Her)" sounds like it was ripped from a George Strait album and that's a great thing. The single "Fishin' is pure gold and I'd gladly listen to that song anytime it comes on. Another Texas country ditty is "Chillaxin'" which again sounds akin to George Strait's style. Craig's delivery is not quite as slick as George's would be but its more than good enough to sell this excellent tune. The album really picks up through the middle section with all the strongest songs in that section.

I don't hear much music I dislike completely but there are a few tracks that will have you reaching for the next button on the cd player. To be honest this album once you get past track four is pretty damn good and is worth the money you spend to own these songs.

Very good

My personal Favourite country artist
He sounds more true country
Fish and You probably aint are the best songs
