Sometimes A Little Degeneration Helps

After a shaky mid-life, The Dears emerge re-energized and whole, with this ideal blend of creative personalities focused on their strongest effort to date. These songs are majestic and purposeful. The Dears fire on all cylinders down Degeneration Street. A Polaris Music Prize contender? With ease.

D-Gen St.

The Dears never disappoint.
The songs are definately going to sound great live. 'Omega Dog' is an instant classic that will catch your attention at the very start of the record.
Buy the album, it will beat the sh** out of you!

Evolution

Seems like The Dears have found their field...this album is amazing from start to finish. The depth and variety they bring, surpasses anything they had already accomplished in the past, and this album is, to me, the best they have created, with 'No Cities Left' being dethroned. Omega Dog starts it off well, with a constant pulse of up-strings and square waves. There's an 'Arcade Fire' feel to some of the songs on the album, and, I mean this in the most respectful way to both bands, and I'm from Montreal..Top songs to look for: Tiny Man, Blood, Thrones, Galactic Tides and Lamentations. But trust me, get the whole experience.

Given the level of intensity that this vision can require, it's not surprising that the Dears have endured...
