DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?

Something about this particular tune always struck a chord with us as kids...it was kinda spooky...it had gravitas. Fitting the reason for the season and all that. But what surprised us the most when we investigated it further; was that although it sounds every inch a classic to us, it was only written in1962....by a married songwriting couple, who reversed their usual roles on the lyrics and music...would swear it was older than that. But more importantly, they had written it in response to the Cuban missile crisis, as a plea for peace. We had no idea. Now there is a song ya could sink yer teeth into.
