Seriously? We talk about Muse when this band is in our backyard?

Interestingly enough, I first heard about this band from a blog in Mexico, which is too strange since it turns out that they are from my hometown, Toronto. This album is as deep as a rock album gets. Most music today is thin and vapid. TSI has a lyrical depth, and a musical force that I have been craving since I first heard Jeff Buckley. Funny enough, I read an interview today where the singer said Jeff Buckley is an influence, makes sense. My only argument with this disc is that it can make me legitimately sad, but it seems the sadness comes for all the right reasons. I wish song credits came with itunes. The lyrics are amazing, but they seem sad. The soaring melodies over the sad lyrics is an amazing juxtaposition though. This is a thick album. I have only been through it twice and am exhausted. I hear some Radiohead, Smiths, Cure, and even Queen, but my inability to nail them down is making this disc really grow on me. I am diggin Muse these days, but must admit that The Sea Inside might take their place in my car disc player. Muse is certainly a current phenomena, but so far TSI's ( I heard a hipster refer to the as such) songs seem more accomplished than anything I have heard from Muse. For a 21 year old female this might seem blasphemous, but thank all that is holy that the guitar solo is not dead. Again, I wish itunes provided album credits, but whoever is playing guitar is ridiculous. I need to see these guys live, because these is some crazy stuff going on. I need to see someone actually play these guitar leads. I have never heard anything like it. The album seems to be all over the place stylistically, but you can still tell it is the same band. I can't believe that song 10 and song 11 are the same band. BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!! If you don't like it, then you should stop listening to music altogether, and just play scrabble...

This is where Rock should be!
