Album Review
Titled after his dancefloor hit of several years earlier, the Frankie Smith album, Double Dutch Bus features three newly recorded versions of the title track, plus nine new songs that attempt to broaden Smith's musical horizons a bit beyond the danceable pop-rap with which he made his name. Some of those experiments work and some don't, but there's no doubt that Smith's original style is what he ultimately does best, which makes Double Dutch Bus a fitfully entertaining party record.
