A Long Lost Forgotten Gem.....
Thank God for the digital age. I must say, I'm thrilled to finally have Belinda Metz in my iTunes library. I don't think "Electric Splash" was ever released on CD. I only remember this album being on vinyl. Belinda's hit single, "What About Me," still holds up incredibly well after 24 years. I guarantee your senses will be transported back to 1985 as soon as you hear the dynamic hook of this track. Download "Body Clocks" and "No Fear" and just allow yourself to get caught up in the melodic diversity of Belinda's magically sexual and angst ridden, (respectively), world. Enjoy the ride! There's good reason why this album is called "Electric Splash." I'm already emotionally charged after my first full listen in years. Thank you Belinda! Thank you iTunes.
some good stuff
I remember this album ! The songs "What about Me" and "No Fear" are the clear standout tracks, since they both possess strong melody lines and solid vocals. The rest of the album is ok but all kind of runs together after a while.
