Obsessed with this band!

I only recently discovered Mother Mother (no longer than a few weeks ago), but the second I heard The Stand, I knew this would be my absolute favorite band.
I was right.
i bought O MY HEART, and couldn't stop listening to songs. I stayed up all night on the 14th just to get this album (I think I may have been the first to buy it).
Get this album, and if you can't affored the entire thing, buy:
-the stand
-baby don't dance
-original spin
-problems

Seriously. Buy the album. Now.

They've lost their sound

It's very rare for a band to discover their perfect sound on their first album, but that is exactly what Mother Mother did with their first album, Touch Up. And that sound is what drew me to them. They were completely unique, but unfortunately, they've lost their sound. This album isn't necessarily bad (it's much better than most of the other stuff out there), but it feels like very little emotion was put into it. Listen to Ball Cap off Touch Up and Burning Pile off O My Heart, then you'll understand. Not a bad album, but I feel that they're trying to become more well-known, and consequently their music is becoming less unique.

Guitarist and singer Ryan Guldemond had been writing songs and wanted to start playing them at local clubs. Feeling the tunes needed harmonies, he asked his sister Molly Guldemond to join him. Molly invited her friend Debra-Jean Creelman to add her voice to the mix, and...
