Customer Reviews

Pretty much the best Metric has to offer.

Metric has a new sound and it works wonders for them. The electric guitars in this album give fantasies a distinct feel. Metric has managed to make a more main stream cd while still keeping their original raw feel 1.)Help i'm alive: this song is catchy and a perfect track to start the album. 9/10 2.)Sick muse: WOW! Sick muse is by far one of the best songs in fantasies 9.5/10 3.)Satellite mind: One of my personal favourites! it's just so easy to hum along with the distinct tune 9/10 4.Twilight Galaxy: an ok song. It's not as good compared to other songs 7.5/10 5.)Gold Guns Girls: It's so much fun listening to this. The most fastpace on the album works great. A tiny bit repetitive near the end. 9/10 6.)gimme sympathy: IMO the best track on fantasies. 11/10 7.)Collect call: This track feels like your floating on cloud without a care. Emilys voice is great in this one. 8.5/10 8.)Front row: I always feel like dancing to this song! 9.5/10 9.)Blindness Starts up slow until it builds up to a joyous climax. 10/10 10.)Stadium love: Epic. perfect way to end the album. 10/10 I hopw my review convinces you to BUY THIS!

Metric's Best Album To Date

Metric finally uses their up-beat new wave electro-pop signature sound to it's full potential. Finally an album I can listen from start to finish every time!. Metric is probably the freshest talent Canada has to offer these days, with such bands as Simple Plan ruining our radio stations it's so nice to hear something different and fresh like Metric. Emily uses her beautiful vocal range to it's full extent on 'Fantasies' and she has never sounded better. Metric had hits with their previous 3 albums, but not as big a hit as Fantasies. Every track is unique and infectious, the obvious standout's to any everyday listener are 'Gimme Sympathy', 'Sick Muse', & 'Help I'm Alive' but to me EVERY track is a standout. This album will be hard to trump Metric, I can only hope your next album will be equally impressive or better. 5 Stars.

METRIC = EPIC!

METRIC has produced yet another amazing album that exemplififes why this band is still around! This album is their best to date with killer beats and amazing vocals by Emily Haines. Really they have outdone themselves! "Help I'm Alive" is a great promoter song but it does not do this album justice. With Gimme Sympathy as a second hit, the sales of this album will sky-rocket because he song has an infectious beat and an awesome chorus. "Gold Guns Girls", "Sick Muse", and "Stadium Love" are my favourites off this album because these songs stay true to the METRIC sound but with twists that are unexpected. I recommend getting this album and put it on repeat because no sinlge one song is bad. Support Canadian Artists!!!
