Customer Reviews

I like these guys :)

I am quite satisfied with this album. I love how Black Stone Cherry mixes different styles through out it. The band seems too ''experiment'' with some different sounds and for some tracks it works a bit less, but for some it does give awsome results. Chris' vocals are very powerful and impressive. The guitar work is also very good.A lot of talent here for sure! Standout tracks for me are: Blind Man, Nice rockin' song! Please Come In, has a nice melody change going into the chorus. Things My Father Said and You are beautiful slower songs, particularly You. Devil's Queen, very cool concept and awsome organ mix! Finaly, Sunrise wich is probably my favorite song from the album. I love the little reggaeish part that mixes into their southern, hard rock sound. Moreover, Itunes version has a lot of interesting extra songs! All this being said, I think it's a solid album, but there is definitly something greater that can come out of these guys. Until then, I thank them for the great music and will continue to support them the best I can.

Flying Under The Radar

Another very good rock band hailing from the South that is going unnoticed. It's ashame that so many are stuck on mindless drool that cloggs our airways today. BSC are doing their best to keep the south alive and kickin'.

Biography

Formed: 2001 in Edmonton, KY

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Southern rockers Black Stone Cherry originally hailed from a small rural town in south central Kentucky. According to bandmembers, none of whom were born before 1983, the lack of anything to do in their hometown, coupled with a rich musical background in their community and families, led them to start playing music. Lead vocalist and guitarist Chris Robertson met drummer John Fred Young (the son of Kentucky Headhunters' Richard Young) in school, and the two played music together throughout high school....
