Jimmy at his Best!
I have always been a fan of Jimmy Rankin and the Rankin Family since I first heard them many years ago. Their words and music has always captivated me and transported me to a better, simpler place and time. Being from Nova Scotia as well, I share an afinity with the music and the stylings. This is unquestionably Jimmy's best work - a great collection of love songs, ballads, and toe tapping tunes that will instantly have you wanting more. Congratulations Jim... you have hit gold with this one my friend! Well done and well deserved!
Awesome
I just watched Jimmy Rankin at the Stewart Festival in Perth Ontario tonight do a strip down performance of some of his wonderful songs. I have a new love for Jimmy Rankin. He is truly one of Canada's top songwriters. I was dragged to the festival buy a couple of mates and had to go out and download many of the songs I heard for my iPhone. Can't seem to get enough. His latest album is a true gem and really captures his East Coast roots.

Why isn't this guy more famous?
With all of the over-processed, formulaic music coming out of Nashvile, it is about time this Rankin fella got his due. A true craftsman and wordsmith - maybe he needs a Kenny or Tim to cover one of his songs to get some real attention. This album is a real gem and I just happened to stumble on it. Good luck Jimmy!
