Clubbed to Death was only the beginning...
Like most people, I first heard about Rob Dougan through the soundtrack for the 1st and 2nd Matrix films. The fusion of classical strings and techno beats was incredible. When I found out he was coming out with an album, I was skeptical, as how could such music be duplicated. Furious Angels keeps in the same vein, but ups the ante. Favorite tracks are "Furious Angels", "I'm Not Driving Anymore", "Nothing at All", and "One and the Same", although all the tracks are brilliant. I got the double CD UK import with the instrumental tracks, but if you can't get that, then this will more satisfy your craving for something with a cinematic flair.

Très bon album. Si vous avez aimé Clubbed to Death, Furious Angels et Chateau dans Matrix I & 2, vous aimerez l'album. Il y a quelques chansons avec du vocale qui "surprennent" au début comparativement à de l'intrumentale, mais celles-ci sont très bonnes. Rob Dougan a une très belle voix, dans le genre de Cohen ou même Tom Waits à la limite (type blues). Album atmosphérique. Bon mélange entre du EBM, classique et du blues. Excellente découverte! J'attends ses prochains albums avec impatience.
Lively, has Meaning
Really liked the album, except for Prelude, Left me For Dead, Drinking Song, and One and the Same. Favorite had to be a cross between Clubbed To Death and Speed Me Towards Death. True, sometimes his vocals aren't perfect at times in some songs, but he actually put meaning into them, as well as rhythm and sometimes energy. If you've already heard Clubbed to Death and want another nice song, get Speed Me Towards Death.
