SADIES
The Sadies songs are worth the price of the compilation alone, most especially "This Wneel's On Fire".
Garth Hudson Presents a Canadian Celebration of The Band
I have been waiting for this album for 20 years. I know it was out there. I knew that someone would eventually put a Band tribute album together. Thank goodness it was Garth Hudson. The arrangements of the songs on this album are masterful and will open up a whole library of music to a new generation. The artists are an exciting mix of elder Canadian musicians like Bruce Coburn and Neil Young and young tigers like The Sadies. This album is an absolute must for all.
Very good
Considering Levon and Robbie haven't spoken in 34 years I highly doubt even Garth could have brought them together. That said, this is a Canadian compilation and since Levon isn't Canadian it would have made no sense to include him anyway. Great job Garth! This is a keeper!
