Album Review

Five years separate Gavin DeGraw's 2003 debut, Chariot, and its eponymous follow-up. Gavin DeGraw exists in a world where he's ubiquitous, played constantly in malls, movie theaters, TV shows, and American Idol, where his "I Don't Want to Be" was a virtual standard. Gavin DeGraw pretty much offers more of the same as Chariot, polishing up the sound, turning it into something bigger and slicker, but not changing his somewhat rootsy, somewhat soulful pop a whit. Unlike Maroon 5, he doesn't chase after modern trends in either R&B or pop — he sticks with what he knows. Anybody who enjoyed Chariot will probably like this.

Worth the buy

Really enjoyed the whole album. Gavin didn't try to re-invent the wheel, something artists tend to do after being away so long. He sticks to what worked on the first album and this one doesn't disappoint. Worth a listen, and a buy!

Lovin' Gavin DeGraw!!

I have loved Gavin DeGraw ever since I heard his first single on One Tree Hill! This album just shows how much of a great artist he is! I recommend "In Love With A Girl", "Untamed" and "Next to Me". Great job on this album, as always!

Solid album

Really easy listening... Next to Me, Young Love, She holds a key, and In Love With a Girl are the strongest songs. If you liked his first album than you'll enjoy this one aswell :-)
