Customer Reviews

Obviously, already one of the Stones' classic LPs.

This "deluxe version" reissue of Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!, with previously unreleased tracks, sounds great; as expected, these songs recorded live sound raw and bluesy, with some terrific extended guitar jams. Jagger's energy and charisma come through in the music. The added opening sets by B.B. King and Ike & Tina Turner are truly excellent, but the extra movie and book don't add much else. Stones fans may find this interesting to compare with more recent live albums from the Stones' world tours (such as No Security, Live Licks and the Shine A Light soundtrack).

What's so Great?

I never understood why this album was so acclaimed. It's not that great. Sure the extended Midnight Rambler is pretty good, the rest is average live Stones music, but less than average on this effort. The bonus tracks are pointless and add nothing besides an interesting to hear but not worth your money version of Under My Thumb and the opening acts shows should be sold seperately. If you want an awesome live Stones album get Shine A Light or Love You Live or even better the Brussels '74 bootleg for the definitave Stones experience

Awsome

The rolling stones are the best band of there time

With his preening machismo and latent maliciousness, Mick Jagger became the prototypical rock frontman,...
