Gracehill Fair - Our Favorite to date!

All these years these guys have been going - and still going STRONG.

The Irish Rovers music is better than ever with their new album, Gracehill Fair. I just heard it was nominated in BC for best album, and it's no wonder. There's lots of the fun-loving raucous drinking songs (which is why we all love The Irish Rovers) like The Girls of Derry, and Ireland Boys Hurrah, as well as the addictive, Dublin Pub Crawl. The surprise for me was the slower melodic tunes that pull on your heart strings - really beautiful songs like "I'll Return" and the heartbreaking "And The Sun It Still Rises". The title track is maybe my favorite, but then again I really love all those I just mentioned. Also, Tommy Makem's "The Boys of Killybegs" which is an old favorite that has been done by other artists, seems well at home with the Rovers strong sound. If you have the cash for just one of their cds - get this one!

Good luck with the music awards guys!!

It was Millar's mother who suggested, on hearing the duo rehearse, that they use the name the Irish Rovers,...
