Exceptional CD for Haendel lovers
These 2 Quebec singers are gifted soloists but this CD shows how well they sing together. Too long have we heard the usual arias from Haendel’s more popular Oratorios but this album is filled with arias from some of the lesser known English Oratorios. For me this will be an easy addition to my library. For the purists out there; one may not enjoy the extra vibrato and I could not drop it a full star for that. The diction is very good and this exceptional singing, full of passion, is accompanied by an orchestra that plays with gusto. This is certainly not a "background noise" CD. The warmth of the singers grabs your attention and bewitches the senses. Baroque music lovers should truly enjoy this album.
