Great little tune

Luke reminds us of what "being American" is and reminds THEM that they affect the rest of the world. The implicit message is that they need to vote in the November 2008 Presidential Election (and vote for the candidate that is best for the rest of the world and the USA..... [not Mrs. Palin!]). The tune is catchy and country with a folksy tinge. It will have you singing the chorus in your head...."I wish I were American, I wish I were American." Goes down best with Budweiser.

Yes he is Canadian but not a hypocrite. The song actualy speaks about wishing he was able to vote for the leader of America because it is so important to the world. Not actually wishing he was American.

I dont think anyone really wishes that they were an american, i even know a few americans that wish they wernt american lol...this guys kind of a hypocrit being canadian and all. song should have been I Wish I Was Canadian :D
