This is a "Killer" Record

This was the frist Alice Cooper record to really grab me, way back in 1972. I was fortunate enough to see the band on the Killer Tour (along with the opening act - The Edgar Winter Band which featured the twin lead guitar attack of Ronnie Montrose and Rick Derringer). Once I saw the band live I was hooked. The one track that really stands the test of time is Halo of Flies. I can still visualize Neal Smith, who was all long hair and even longer arms, pounding out the drum solo... Alice freaked out a lot of people with his bizarre stage act which included (on this tour) the chopping up of a baby doll, Alice being hung for this crime and lots of bubbles...but the one thing I loved about the band was always the music. Be my Lover, Under my Wheels and You Drive Me Nervous are all standout tracks.

By that time, Furnier had adopted the name...
