Wonderful melodies. Plenty to indulge in for various moods.
Well done, Amiina! Wish you were coming to Vancouver. Alas, your Toronto pitstop is too far. But I will be keeping an eye on you. This is quite enjoyable to listen to. Much of it is playful, sometimes with sober, somber and reflective melodies, accomplished through the unique instrument ensembles, a bit arts and crafts-like. Thank you.

Amina (later changing its name to Amiina) is an experimental quartet who can often be found playing live and working with fellow popular Icelandic band Sigur Rós. Merging violins and cellos with ambient electronics, the group includes Hildur Ársælsdóttir, Edda Rún Ólafsdóttir, Maria Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir, and Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir. The four met while studying at the Reykjavík College of Music in the 1990s. In late 2004, they finally self-released...
