Lunasa
This is simply the best technical irish Trad group in the World. They arrange traditional irish songs into medlies, then add a driving bass line, and then interpolate different instruments to compliment the melody line and...make something so unique and new, you just have to shake your head in wonder. This band is the finest in irish Instrumental music period. No question. These guys are like Rock Stars in Ireland and the U.K. They truly are the greatest Irish instrumentalists in the World. Every Album I have liked. Every Song. When you hear the haunting Uilliean pipes, or the tightness of the fiddle and whistle together, or find yourself tapping your toes to the rythym of the Irish chords on the guitar with a backing Bass line...you will know you are hooked. If you listen to this album, consider yourself a connoisseur of music.
