The thinking persons music
I've had this album for about a year and have heard them on CBC radio. Blow Out the Lights still hits me, as does Dial H for Help and Liesl's Song. What get's me the most is the easy way the male and female vocalists pass the torch from track to track without it seeming forced or deliberate. Clear lyrics, electric guitar, piano, and what sounds like a penny wistle thrown in for luck. This album is pensive and toe tapping throughout and I am glad to have stumbled across it. A good find.
Good tunes
I've had this album for a while and really like it. It's a good debut album for F&M as it shows off both songwriters and a mix of the sounds they can create. You need to see them live though for a really great experience!
Let Every Light Shine
I first heard this on CBC radio. We saw the band perform in Calgary and we have been spreading the word. I like all the songs on this CD particularly 'I pray for the fog' and 'Blow out the lights'
