A Canadian hard rock band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, State of Shock got their first taste of success in a local rock talent show, and within four years were vying for their nation's highest musical honor. Simon Clow (guitar, vocals), Cameron Melnyk (vocals), John Philippon (drums), Alison Toews (bass), and Jesse Wainwright (guitar) released their first album, Guilty by Association, in 2004, but it was their second album that scored State of Shock the kind of success they were after.
