Album Review

Recorded at Switzerland's St. Gallen Open Air Festival in 2005, Australian outfit the John Butler Trio's second live album features 12 performances that cement their reputation as one of the world's premier jam/roots bands. Released three years after Living 2001-2002, the two-CD collection includes one track from their 1998 self-titled debut ("Ocean"), three from 2001's Three ("Pickapart," "Take," and the epic 17-minute "Betterman"), and eight from their previous LP, 2004's Sunrise Over Sea, including the singles "Zebra," "What You Want," and "Something's Gotta Give." A bonus DVD featuring ten performances and an interview is also included. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Wrong rating

Sorry guys, I meant to give a higher rating on the last review... He deserves it.

Unique sound

The sound is unique and fantastic. I found them via YouTube and have been waiting for a non DRM way to buy. Now I have it and am not disappointed. Ocean gives me goose bumps every single time I listen to (or watch) it. John Butler's guitar playing is spectactular. Love it!

Wicked!!!

This is a really really good live album. John Butler's voice is phenomenal. The music is extremely funky and displays just how good JBT is live. This should be a part of everyone's music collection.
