Album Review

This western Canadian singer/songwriter is brutally introspective, yet outgoing. After all, she's hosted the Juno Awards (Canada's version of the Grammys). She writes and sings beguilingly on this strong debut about temptation, salvation, jealousy, and loneliness. Former John Mellencamp drummer Kenny Aronoff helps to ground the album's seamless sound, and Jackson Browne drops in for "Unloved."

Customer Reviews

Pure Genious!

Jann Arden is by far the most under-rated Canadian artist! Her songs on Living Under June brilliantly capture a specific emotion but yet remain open for the listener's personal interpretation... the signature of a great artist!

Jann Rocks...

I think that Jann Arden is one of the best female vocalist that I have heard in my lifetime. Her music is pure and soulful. I love the song Good Mother, it makes me think about my life with my own parents. I saw her at a concert in Ottawa when she was the opening act for the Dixie Chicks and I loved her sense of humour.

Fan for Jann

It's not easy to come by natural talent lately these days, but Jann encapsules what a star should be! Honestly her sound is amazing and is easily recognizable! We need more artists like Jann so that we can get some good music finally!
