Can't (won't!) stop listening to David Myles' new album, Into the Sun
I've been obsessively listening to David Myles' Into the Sun -- I love this album! In trying to articulate why I enjoy it so much, I realized that while the songs express simple emotions and, literally, "Simple Pleasures" the lyrics and orchestration are quite complex. The horns and harmonies in particular appeal to me, along with the gentle rhythms of songs like Nina and Ooh La La. Catchy and fun, complex and multi-layered, with a lovely voice that pleasantly resonates, this album is a remarkable achievement by a very talented and personable artist.
Fresh tunes from a great writer
David Myles has shown a lot of great music in his past albums. This one shows the range of his work , how he has grown as an artist and I love it. Looking forward to future albums!
