It’s mind blowing good!
There is much more to this album than the first two singles lead on, Mariah has really stepped up her game here. After Obsessed I thought this album would be a barebones version of E=MC2. Less beats less vocals exc. But in truth it has exceeded my expectations in every way! This is one of the best albums of her career and the year!
Classic Mariah!
A definite return to form, this CD is meant to be played from the beginning until the end. Gone are the plethora of producers and rappers; the focus now is squarely on Mariah.
Breathtaking!!!
I've been a Mariah fan literally since her first single. As a diehard fan I always buy her albums. Having said that, this is the album I wish people would give a chance if they've not really been into Mariah in the past. I'm a huge fan yes, however I have some favorite albums over others - this is Mariah's best work to date. I haven't been this captivated by an album release since 1997's "Butterfly." This album proves why Mariah is THE VOICE of the music world. It exeplifies why she is the #1 seling female singer of all time. She not only writes her own witty and visually stunning lyrics, she also produces her own songs. Memoirs is breathtaking from start to finish. "H.A.T.E. U my personal favorite track is astonishingly beautiful Memoirs is a masterpiece blend of oldschool music that is current at the same time. Classic R&B with a new age twist (and a witty sense of humor) Mariah's famous jaw-dropping ballads are also present. There is something for everyone on this album!
