This was outside of my normal genres, but the sound is ageless
Mischievous Moon is a requirement for all music lovers. Get it or you'll find yourself lonely this weekend.
An instant standard!
Where I think Chances was Jill starting to hone herself into the music she really wanted to make, Mischievous Moon is a big leap forward – where everything has fallen into a synchronous harmony. From the album art, to the sound, production and direction of Les Cooper, to the lyrics and her distinctive vocal style, it feels like a jazz standard.
I have a feeling it will get some serious consideration for Junos and the Polaris Prize in the year to come.
This album so clearly needs the vinyl treatment!

What an amazing talent! Great blues, standard pop styles and than something very Deitrich like Mischievous Moon! Its not that easy to have an absolutrly true integrity about this kinda music. She pulls it off quite nicely!
