Nominated for the prestigious 2009 Polaris Music Prize, Mountain Meadows is the critically acclaimed second album from Canadian alt-country trio of Mark Sasso, Casey Laforet, and Stephen Pitkin, aka Elliott Brood. Produced by John Critchley, the 2008 follow-up to Ambassador was recorded in several unorthodox locations (town halls, log cabins, front rooms) and features 13 examples of their self-described "death country" sound including the single "Fingers and Tongues." ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi

Swept Away
There is a deep river running through these Mountain Meadows, one that will sweep you off your feet and carry you with it as it rushes past landscapes of banjos, thundering precusion, and powerful, haunting lyrics. Enjoy the ride. I certainly did.
Recommended.
Excellent, original and energetic live show and album! The song "valley town" is a personal favorite, dueling ukelele's where the brood kill it! Album recommended and catch them live in your city!
