Amazing album.

This song is actually quite amazing. When I first heard "Disappear", I was like "eh, this is different. But then the more I listened to it, it started growing on me. Then the single for "Her Words Destroyed My Planet" was released, and it totally sounded different. It didn't have the high pitched voice of Justin that I was used to. But once again, it started growing on me the more I listened to it.

Then the rest of the album became available. I already had it pre-ordered because I knew it would do the same for me the first two songs did. And I was right.

When I listened to songs like Delirium, the more I realized "this cd is actually a combination of all three cd's thus far". It has the rock type music of "I Am The Movie", it has the clever lyrics of "Commit This To Memory", and the sincerity of "Even If It Kills Me".

This album, QUICKLY, became my favorite album from them. And you can never go wrong especially when songs like "Stand Too Close" are available, which is just plain perfection.

The only downside is iTunes. If you can, I strongly suggest buying it in the U.S store or a hard copy, because this version is severly crippled.

Seriously, i waited this album for so long and im kind of.. disapointed but happy at the same time since i can enjoy some of the old MCS in like 5 songs(Worker Bee,Her words destroyed my planet,Delirium,Pulp Fiction,Skin and Bones.) but still... im disapointed because i think the other songs are too commercial. Dont lose your origins guys..

A bit of a Let Down

I love Motion City Soundtracks previous releases. I remember being excited to listen to Commit this to memory and Even if it kills me after falling in love with I am the movie. Motion City Soundtrack have lost something with this new CD, it is still good, just not up to their potential. If you enjoy this CD great, but i highly recommend checking out their older stuff

A leading light in the punk-pop genre, Motion City Soundtrack includes members Joshua Cain (guitar), Tony Thaxton (drums), Justin Pierre (vocals/guitar), Jesse Johnson (Moog), and Matthew Taylor (bass). Following their high-school graduation, Minneapolis natives Pierre and Cain — both of whom were inspired by Sunny Day Real Estate, Jawbox, the Flaming Lips, and Superchunk — formed the band in 1999.
