We need voices that are different than the commercial pop / rock / rap that's being served to us (often without our permission:-)).

It's great that there are artists who still believe in their craft and put out thought-provoking material that is both inspirational and great to listen to.

If you like Nneka, look up Meklit Hadero, another lady with a great new sound and voice.

I hope iTunes is reading this and continues to work hard to broker deals with lesser known artists (here in North America anyway) to ensure that their material becomes part of the iTunes Store.

Born Nneka Egbuna in Warri, Nigeria, in 1981, she immigrated at age 19 to Hamburg, Germany, with plans to study anthropology.
