Losing it fast
This album should have been called ' Some Songs by Micky, Some Songs by Mike, and Some Songs By Davy', because that's exactly what it is. The only song that has more than one member of the group singing is 'Auntie's Municipal Court'. Peter's contributions wer practically non-existent. The creative energy that flowed so well in their previous album had vanished by now. Each band member basically recorded a few songs with their own backup musicians, and then slapped them on one record. Believe me, it shows. There are some good songs on this album. The previously mentioned 'Aunties Municipal', 'I'll Be Back Up On My Feet', and the terrific 'Daydream Believer' stand out. I also love the lyrics of Mickey's 'Zor and Zam'. Overall, the album has it's moments, but is far too disjointed to be counted among their best output.
Don't listen To that bad review
This album is amazing. It shows the diversity of each member and the incredible music talent of mike nesmith. Peters involvement us minimal, but that is because if all the bs politics that the monkees had to endure.
Any true monkee fan will agree, this album is one of their best!!
