Best Soundtrack in a Long Time!
I love the choice of the songs. There is a good variety but they flow and do not take away from each other. I have always liked many Irish artists and there are some good ones on this album such as the Pogues and Flogging Molly. You can never go wrong with James Blunt and Toby Lightman is an underrated artist if you ask me. This album is $9.99 well spent!
Last Train Home
This song is beautifully written both lyrically and musically. It begins slowly which allows the listener to understand the story of the song. As it progesses you hear how powerful Ryan Star's voice is especially one minute in and again in the last minute. This artist is truly talented and diverse. He isn't afraid to write about dark subjects as well as love songs. If you enjoy his voice you should look into his previous album (Songs From The Eye Of An Elephant) and his new album coming in the new year.
Where is Galway Girl?
The book was fantastic, the film was good. This album is great - but where is Galway Girl - I had to buy it separately.
