Wow, What a Surprise
I love rhythm and drumming, but when the drummer takes the lead, a lot of times I personally don't like it. That's why this album is a surprise for me, and what a great surprise. Lots to listen to; lots of interesting things going on in your face and in the background; toe tapping; great melodies; time shifts and mood swings. This album will still be meaty after 100 listens, I am sure. Especially like "The Ballad of Mank Molean". Don't know what the title means, but right from the opening toms to the final piano fade, it's a beauty.

This record kills...from the jazzy stuff to the funky stuff...to the MJ tune!!!
I have had the pleasure of having Mark playing on numerous records I have produced over the years and the display of drumming on this album blows me away blows me away.
The band is tearing it up.
