One Of Vancouver's Best!

So I saw Dan about 2 years ago play at a cafe in Downtown Vancouver with a buddy of mine. I was seriously blown away. Not only by his voice but also his lyrics and the way the he demands your attention when he's on the mic. Dan has to be by far the most amazing singer/songwriters I have heard in a really long time. I'd compare him with one of my faves Damien Rice. He's got the clean pure voice that melts you to the core and you could listen to him forever.

Happy musical times are here at last...

Saw Dan Mangan live in Prince George and scooped up the album immediately (complete with his autograph!). This is music at its best, gentle guitar melodies and a soft voice...Journal of a Narcoleptic and Unnatural Progression are my favourites, but I recommend the entire thing!

Amazing!

I was watching re-runs of Blood Ties and heard one of Dan's songs at the end of an episode. At the time I had never heard of him, so I spent close to two hours searching for the artist and name of the song so I could buy it. Turns out the song was Unnatural Progression and all that time spent searching was most definitely worth it. :D
