Dubmatix = Authentic New Reggae
I just found this, and I can't believe how good it is. Modern reggae that retains the warmth of the classic 1970's recordings. This album has some of the most important names in reggae (although they may not be the most famous): Willi Williams, Linval Thompson, Ranking Joe, Alton Ellis, Sugar Minott, Wayne Smith, Mykal Rose. This is a collection of heavy, classic reggae singers working with Dubmanix, who manages to bring the roots reggae sound into the next century in a way that sounds modern, sincere and right. If like your reggae with a splash of dub, then you'll love this. I can't tell enough people about how good it is.
