Cornetist Bix Beiderbecke's recordings have been reissued in more complete fashion elsewhere but this single budget CD contains 14 of his greatest performances. Highlights include "Singin' the Blues," "I'm Comin' Virginia," "Riverboat Shuffle" and early versions (with The Wolverines in 1924) of "Royal Garden Blues" and "Tiger Rag." This set does a good job of introducing newer listeners to the classic music.
